Our Prison after-care program will be the first of its type in Evansville.
BROTHER'S KEEPER is a Ministry of Tri-State Men's Center,Inc. in Evansville, Indiana. We are a non-profit, faith-based organization with a vision to address the needs of men as they return from prison to society. Key components of our program include education, job-training and self-help skills, spiritual guidance and Bible study, counseling referrals for life controlling issues, mentoring support, and transportation assistance for accessing health care and community resources.
Brother’s Keeper residents will begin with an application for participation while still in prison. Interviews will be held with mentors, counselors and the chaplain to determine readiness for our services. Selected participants for the residential program, after prision discharge, live at the Brother’s Keeper home sharing household responsibilities and address their issues of spiritual growth, building life skills, overcoming life-controlling issues, and building confidence for success in life.
Brother's Keeperwill coordinate with and become a contract provider for Access to Recover, a State voucher program for Returning Citizens. [Select the link above for information about this State program.]
The board is leasing property at 114 W. Illinois Street for our resident's housing and training needs. An office area, kitchen/dining area, shower room and two bedroom dorms for up to 16 men are included in this first phase.

The Board of Directors of Tri-State Men's Center is seeking men and women who desire to become a part of the ministry of Brother's Keeper. We are in need of mentors, service staff and persons to serve on the Board of Directors.
